Not included in the Price

•One Ways: One-Way-Rentals within locations in Sri Lanka a charge of LKR 4,000.00 up to LKR 15,000.00 applies.

•The international driver's license has to be validated by obtaining the endorsement from Automobile Association in Sri Lanka. If you can send the copies of your International license and the passport to our rental agent, they can obtain the endorsement on your behalf prior to your arrival. Please note this service will cost you 30.00 EUR / $40 including all charges.

Mandatory Documents and Important Information

The following documents are required to collect the vehicle:

•A printed version of Rental Voucher

•Passport or Identification card

•A valid credit card in the name of the main driver

•A valid driving licence. International driving licence is required for customers whose licence is not written in Roman alphabet.

Minimum age required/Driving license minimum period:

•Minimum age in Sri Lanka is 23 years old.

•Driver has to be in possession of a valid driving license for at least 2 years.

•The maximum driver's age is 99 years.

Excess and Liability

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

Collision Damage Waiver limits the driver’s liability in the event of a collision or damage. Rather than the full cost, the driver is generally only responsible for the first portion, known as ‘excess’. This protection applies to all authorised drivers of the rental car. Should the vehicle be damaged, you are liable for the excess amount.

•There is an excess of LKR 50,000 for car group: MDMR

•There is an excess of LKR 75,000 for car group: EDAR, CDAR, SDAR

•There is an excess of LKR 100,000 for car group: XDAR, FSAR, FFAR, XLAN

•There is an excess of LKR 150,000 for car group: SFAR, PDAR

Fuel policy

All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and should be refilled prior to return to car rental agent, otherwise a charge of LKR 128.00 per litre of petro/diesel will apply.

Fuel charges are payable at the rental desk.

Payment Details

The following credit cards are accepted: Eurocard/Mastercard and Visa.

Sixt do not accept any prepaid cards or debit cards (Visa Electron).

Sixt CarExpress Servicecard is only accepted in combination with a valid Credit Card.

In the event that you fail to present a valid credit card or lack of sufficient funds available on the credit card for excess and security deposit stated on this voucher, car rental agent may refuse to release the vehicle. In these instances, no funds paid will be reimbursed.

Extras and Additional Charges

ADDITIONAL DRIVERS: An Additional Driver Surcharge of LKR 1,000.00 per day, max. LKR 18,375.00 per rental applies. (Taxes included)

BABY SEATS/BOOSTER SEATS/MAXI COSI: LKR 1,000 per day with a Maximum charge of LKR 8,400 (Taxes included)

GPS: The cost of GPS is LKR 1,000 per day with a maximum of LKR 10,000 per rental.

International One-Way Rentals are not allowed.
